today my topology professor brought us a box of donuts to eat. or a box of coffee cups, depending on your point of view. also a box of muffins, which are neither donuts nor coffee cups, but which might be rabbits. in topology it is really easy to pull a rabbit out of a hat because they are actually the same thing. isn't math fun?

all this to say, i had my conference with my professor and i did not fail topology. i actually did fairly well in topology. like, i would be fine with this grade. but since the optional final can only help our grade and not hurt, i still feel morally obligated to take it. i would like to take the part of myself that makes me feel morally obligated to do things like that and stuff her in a closet.

hannah, i owe you a cup of coffee. or a donut. or anything else you can think of that is topologically equivalent.

i've thought about it, and contrary to your plea, a rabbit has one hole. it does. like how in bio we had a big discussion about how some people think the oral cavity through the digestive system can be considered to be external because it is open all the way through.
