dear middlebury
Dec. 14th, 2006 11:16 pmi miss you already!
but it is so good to be home!
sort of funny story from my trip home:
in my connection in atlanta my gate changed like four times while i was waiting, but the whole time i was in the concourse where all the international flights were leaving from. there were maybe 10 domestic flights, everyone else was going to mexico or amsterdam or brussels. what i gleaned from this: texas is actually a foreign country. woohoo!
today i didn't do much. wrapped a few christmas presents, went to lunch with my mom at the cute little tearoom downtown, went to church choir rehearsal (handel's hallelujah chorus = no biggie after all that crazy poulenc and whitacre :P). i <3 the new choir director. i wish the alto section didn't sing obnoxiously loud and off-key. but it will all come together i am sure.
i am rejoicing that we have internet - it just got installed today, after the two week gap between ditching the old isp and getting the new people to come hook it up. yays.
and i got to hang out with audrey. :) i haven't laughed so hard since...oh...thanksgiving maybe? yay friends. "we can have lots of good fun that is funny!"
christmas in 11 days!
(dear weatherman, can it please get a little colder? high for saturday: 80 degrees.)
