i don't get to keep my wisdom teeth...fortunately i don't have time to get them out before i leave (yes!) and my mom thinks it would be unfair to do it over christmas break (yes!) so i probably won't have to experience oral surgery until next spring-ish. still, i think it sucks. why couldn't the human body be designed a bit more efficiently?

Ian had his out not long before his freshman year started. And a couple of weeks before he was due to leave, the school sent his roommates name and phone number, and Ian called him up to get aquainted and ask about Stuff (I dunno, teevees or dorm refrigerators or something--this kid turned out to have everything, his family was pretty loaded)--anyway, the roomie-to-be had just had his wisdom teeth out, too.

You oughta be thankful for one thing--I had mine out when I was about 23, and had to pay for it myself. :-(

My mom's friend told her about when she got her wisdom teeth out. It was something like whatever they used to put her to sleep didn't work, so she felt everything, but for some reason couldn't make it known that she could feel it. I heard the whole story...but it a year ago (or over a year ago) when I heard it, so I really don't remember well.
Once they found out what had happened, they didn't make her pay for it...
But still, I'd rather pay.
Ain't that just the most comforting thing to hear before you get yours out? :)

that's what happens to some ppl when they get an epideral during labor... it just makes you quiet. that's what my mom had. it sucked, especially since she'd already been in labor 3 days. sorry, mom....
