Aug. 18th, 2006 06:35 pmtonight at the dinner table we were discussing the fact that my mom's cut flowers that she got for her birthday had wilted prematurely. she put forth the hypothesis that they had already been a few days old when bought because all flower shops receive their flowers on thursday. my sister thought this was an odd revelation:
copelan: this from the person who kills flowers! (it's a running joke in our family that my mom can't keep anything alive.)
mom: they're already dead, people, they've been cut!
copelan: *pause* this from the person who kills DEAD flowers!
*hilarity ensues*
in other news, i am currently dithering about packing. dithering is my word of the day. i've basically just rearranged my piles and moved them around my room. i can't commit!
