today is about ten times better than yesterday, just by virtue of not being yesterday anymore. the sink is either fixed or in the process of becoming so, and i've checked off several things on my to-do list (though the reu application essay is defeating me - oh, the lies we tell ourselves, like "after i get into college i'll be done writing application essays!"), and transportation at least is (mostly) sorted out for my paris/ireland birthday trip (hotel? no. plan for what we're doing in paris? not really. oh well...:P).
