i guess i should update
Mar. 15th, 2006 09:01 pmi'm in a hotel in denver with internet, praise the lord! i feel connected to the real world again. how pathetic is that? :P anyway, skiing was okay i guess. next spring break i vote for the beach. not galveston, the beach. i'm tired of being cold and taking half an hour to get ready to go do anything. anyway, i learned to snowboard the first day, and i did actually make it all the way down the bunny slope without falling over. i suck at toe edge because i basically have no calf muscle, but oh well. but i decided it took too much time and effort for it to be fun, so i traded in my snowboard and skied monday afternoon (i was in too much pain monday morning :P). i only fell twice (i was pretty impressed with myself since there was serious powder on the blue runs) but i managed to wrench my knee badly enough that i stayed home tuesday reading wicked. i'd recommend that book, btw. although i think the ending is a little rushed and weak, after going through all the trouble of developing the witch's character. anyhow, we're driving home tomorrow and friday, and there had better be some letters from colleges waiting for me cause i'm starting to get a little frantic about making a decision. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! and i definitely miss my friends, i can only take so much exposure to concentrated family. :P texas and heat, here i come!
p.s. i was totally bummed that the snowboard instructor i got was not the young, cute guy i was promised but some college girl...oh well, i prolly wouldn't have learned as much about snowboarding if it had been the guy. there really was a distressing lack of cute young guys on the slopes though. i can't wait for college.
