anesthesia and other fun things

sadie_cocopuffi got my wisdom teeth out yesterday. not a big deal at all. i took one pain pill last night, just in case, but i'm fine. i have a feeling i'm going to get sick of scrambled eggs and malt-o-meal over the next few days though. :P
the only hitch was, i thought they were putting me to sleep by intravenous injection, not an actual iv. all you have to do is say iv in a doctor's office and i will lose it. so that was exciting. but going to sleep was kind of amusing, actually. the doctor was like, "ok, you're going to feel the drugs in about a minute" so i started counting backwards "60, 59, 58...59...crap, i can't remember how to count" and then i was gone. no memory of waking up or getting in the car or ordering a smoothie or anything though. :P that bit always creeps me out. the human mind is odd.
it's almost decently cold here today (43 degrees). i can pretend it's winter. of course, it's supposed to get up to 65 later on. 3 days till christmas? geez. it completely doesn't feel like it. who stole my christmas spirit?
