sadie_cocopuffhappy halloween...it's disappointing how it becomes so boring as you get older. there are only like three houses on my whole street that hand out candy anymore, it's very sad. and it's only 8:15 and we've all shut down. what is the world coming to?
so, we won 2nd place at brazos best this weekend and we're going to state, which is cool but at the same time irritating because it means weeks more work. oh well. i'm glad all the work we've already done counts for something.
i'm going into freak-out mode over college apps. why do they make the process so confusing? yes, you can fill it out online, but oh wait, there's all these other forms that have to be sent by such and such a deadline, don't forget the application fee, and if you want scholarships there's a whole other application for that, be sure to send your test scores from the college board, by the way you should take sat subject tests too, and oh there's all these essays...agh! plus i really only have two more weeks to work on these things because i'm having surgery and shortly after that all the deadlines start to attack, so i need to get them done beforehand. i'm mostly down to essays and teacher recommendations. damn things.
well i'm off to bed to read something amusing and light so my brain will shut down and let me sleep. goodnight.
